Been feeling reasonably crappy ever since I forgot to take my nutter pills one day last week. I've been lying round slowly making my way through
Real Spaces: World Art History and the Rise of Western Modernism, broken up with Philip K Dick novels (ahead of
A Scanner Darkly at the old
Film Fest), and not producing anything at all. Not likely to once the film madness hits neither.
Hope the feeling of crappiness is over by now.....look after yourself.
ReplyDeleteCheers. At least the sun's out today. Makes a pleasant change from the wind and the rain. Might even try to do some pictures this arvo.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, mate -- hope you're speaking literally and metaphorically :-D
ReplyDelete--- how are things going now that you're back to work?
By the way: 'arvo' -- what does that mean?
'Arvo' is 'afternoon'.
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't get any work done that arvo either.
Thanks for clarifying that, David -- hey, is that NZ slang for afternoon or where does the word come from?
ReplyDeleteI get fuck all done here too.
Tell a lie: I vacuum cleaned the bedroom today.
ReplyDeleteAussie and NZ slang. We have a dreadful habit of shortening words and adding -ie or -o to the end - like baby language. You go to the servo (service station), get some bevvies (beverages, i.e. beer), say hi to the dero (derelict) sitting outside...
ReplyDeleteMan, it'd be tough for me to understand more than two words of a sentence if I ever went 'down under'!
ReplyDeleteAt least I recognise the most important word from my time in London --> 'bevvies'; guess I would survive there after all then ;-)
