Orwell

A friend of mine mentioned recently he'd been reading George Orwell's Homage to Catalonia. This made me think it was high time I read it again. It's an extremely good read, if somewhat depressing. It's the same old story (which also lead to the demise of the Weimar Republic) - the left is too busy fighting amongst itself to worry about the fascists.

I really have got to get familiarised with George Orwell writing -- Alan too is always going on about him..... I only know him and his work from what I've heard from others. About time I got my arse in gear and sat down with one of his books.....

You can't go too wrong starting with 1984 - or Homage to Catalonia.

1984 -- it's in the bookshelf next to the bed. It's been staring at me for months now.

I think I am going through a [very fucking frustrating] period where I am just not able to sit down and read a book. What is wrong with me?
