Yet more Billy

I knew I used to have something where he got into Mayan stuff (on a CD that's one of the many victims of my peripatetic lifestyle), and I've found it again - this time with a snazzy animation attached: Ah Pook is here.

No way! I taped that animation from the TV one night and drunkenly watch it to this day.

For more Uncle Bill greatness
check this out. I got my hands on a copy and it's really good.

Oh man, I had a copy of some of those early films, and they were really good. Cut up stuff with Gysin. A dream machine one (one of which my flatmate in Waitati built), and a few others I don't remember so well (something involving gear hidden under a sink). Goddamn, I'd like to see some more right about now. I don't need to be drunk to watch this 'un (though it helps - as now). It's fantastic, and I've had those lines running through my head ever since).

This is where the Internet really come into its own. My friend's seventh form statistics project was on when singles were released in the UK compared to when they were released in NZ. This was in 1987 (see a previous blog post I'm not going to link to for mine), and the average lag was six months. Now of course you download 'em before they're released.
